Sparx Animation Studios

Sparx Animation Studios, styled as Sparx* and Sparkling*, is a visual effects/animation company located in Paris, France, Los Angeles, and Ho Chi Minh City. Founded in 1995 by Jean-Christophe Bernard and Guillaume Hellouin, the organization specializes in CGI animation on movies, television and music videos. They are known for co-producing Rolie Polie Olie with Nelvana and Disney Channel. They also produced the fully computer-animated movie Igor, which was released on September 19, 2008.

In 2008, it was announced that the organization would be closing its French offices, with the American and Vietnamese offices remaining open, but the remaining offices closed in 2010.

In September 2011, Sparx' assets and core team were acquired by Virtuos, a digital entertainment production services company. Sparx now has film production teams in Shanghai, Chengdu and Saigon, and offices in Paris, Vancouver and Tokyo.
